Welcome to the Seniors Section

The Senior's Captain for 2018 is Steve Blackburn who will be supported by vice Captain Alan Smaggasgale. They would like to extend a warm welcome to members and visitors.

All male members are welcome to join the Seniors Section on their 55th birthday.

The Seniors meet every Wednesday morning in the clubhouse at 8:30am for a draw before teeing off from 9.00am. The Senior Captain will announce the game of the day. There are a number of individual competitions, including a Senior Championship. There are also a Seniors Invitation Day and a Seniors Open Day.

The Seniors play friendly matches, home and away, against 8 other local clubs. This is an excelllent way to play those courses and make friends. The two matches played so far has seen Kenwick win away at Cleethorpes and win at home against Louth.

For this year we will continue a half way house facility for all home matches, for Invitation Day, the Seniors Open and the Christmas Turkey Trot which will be run by volunteers from the Lincolnshire Wolds Riding for the Disabled Association.

Seniors Matches Order of Merit

Played two won two. What a start for Captain Steve. Here is the updated order of merit

Same format as usual, you get a point for turning up, a further point if you halve the match and the show offs who didn't get paired with me unless you are called Jim get two further points if they win. With a horrendous amount of work and ground breaking technology we (I) keep a running tally of result scores as a tie breaker if required. Captain Steve would really welcome as much support as we can muster putting teams out so get your names down when the lists go up please

Next match is Woodhall Spa away Tuesday 8th May.

Home match versus Louth Wednesday 18th April 2018

Played in glorious sunshine, this match saw Kenwick win again recording a 6&2 victory. A very sociable day and the halfway house raised £109.25 for the Lincolnshire Wolds Riding for the Disabled which was excellent and I have been asked to pass on thanks on their behalf to you all for your generous contributions.

The next match will be away at Woodhall Spa on Tuesday 8th May 2018 meeting at 09.30 for a 10.00am start. The names list will go up tomorrow for this.

Seniors Ron King awayday 2018

What a fabulous day. Your secretary called in a favour by getting Paul Dewhurst to use his connections to ensure the fine weather we were treated to. Looking at the scores you can see how that might not on reflection have been my best ever call. I am very sure Ron would have been impressed with the turnout and the fact we visited one of his favourite courses locally.

1st: Paul Dewhurst / Martin Riggall 47 points
2nd : Smiler Hutson / Jim Dinsdale 40points
3rd: Roger Culpin / Chris Hunt 39 points ( on countback 22 points back 9 )
2's Roger Culpin & Tony Smith
Hole in one on 4th Rob Houlton

The  package contribution and collection raised £101.15 for the juniors funds so a big thank you to all for that
