The Kenwick Park Hotel

On Monday 20th December news broke that the owners of the Hotel, Coppergreen, have been bought out by Away Resorts.  This of course included the sale of Kenwick Park Hotel, the Leisure facilities, Spa and the Lodges.

I found out just hours after the staff from the Hotel had heard the news for the first time.

The Golf Club Directors are aware of the sale.  All Hotel matters are discussed at each Board meeting as it is a constant Agenda Item.  The Board were already scheduled to meet in Mid January.

Unsurprisingly rumours are already circulating what this might mean for the Golf Club.  Rest assured we are first and foremost a Members Club.  There is absolutely nothing to suggest this will change under the Hotel's new ownership. We continue to remain fully focused on offering you the best possible membership experience.  Most importantly we have always retained full control over the tee times that are allocated to Hotel residents.

The Golf Club had formed a professional relationship with Coppergreen in recent years.  Green Fee Revenue from the Hotel accounts for approximately 15% of our annual turnover,  this plays an important part in the development of the Golf Club.   I am pleased to announce that we have also agreed a significant increase to the green fee that each hotel resident pays next year.

2022 promises to be another fantastic golfing year and we are delighted that as a Golf Club member you will play an important part in our future successes.
